The azaleas in the front of our house were blooming quite gorgeously for the last couple of weeks. The bumblebees were quite happy about the abundance of flowers! They're pretty much kaput now, which is sad because we really don't have any other flowering plants in our yard other than the invasive honeysuckle vine. I would plant more flowers, but we're renters and can't really do much about the landscaping.
My mom also has azaleas in her yard. Her bushes produce white flowers with pink stripes, which is also really pretty and a bit exotic looking.
Jack and I are hopefully going to wander around on of the local parks today, if he has enough energy after spending the morning at the gym. We haven't decided which one, although Greenbelt Park is high up on my list of parks to visit this spring.
They are so beautiful AND my fav color! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I've really been enjoying the azaleas this year. I can't take any credit, since they were here when we moved in, and all we do is prune them about once a year. We have another azalea bush on the side of the house that's still blooming with a deep purplish-red color. Maybe I will take photos of it once it stops raining.
Delete:) You definitely got lucky. When we moved into our house, we were "not so blessed" with yucca's. Ugh! Those things are horrid to get rid of! Azaleas are just so beautiful.
DeleteThose are very beautiful flowers!
ReplyDeleteThank you! They were really nice to come home to in the spring :)
DeleteBeautiful!! We have hot pink azaleas in our yard. :)
